Sixth Month

6 months! Wow It is very hard for me to believe that Rhett is 1/2 a year old. He is such a sweet blessing from the Lord. He is one of my favorite ages. He is starting to interact more but not super mobile yet. I am enjoying this age because he is able to do so much more stuff these days. Here are some boring stats or just scroll on down for the sweet pictures:

Weight: 20 pounds 12 ounces
Diaper: Size 3
Clothing size: 12 months

Appearance:
  • eyes are completely brown now
  • fuzzy hair, he has lost most of his original hair and is getting new growth in
  • chunky legs
  • always has a BIG grin (two teeth now too)
  • always covered in drool or spit up

New discoveries
  • Rolling like crazy
  • trying hard to sit up
  • when sitting up- his favorite toys are his feet
  • tries to pull his knees up under him while he is on his belly
  • slept on his belly a few nights this month (his choice)
  • enjoys listening to his daddy & Caleb talk
  • perks up when we play music
Bath Time
  • instantly flips onto his belly and flaps around
  • C never wanted to be on his belly at bath time. He must have taken after his cousin Addi
Teeth:
  • got two bottom teeth this month
  • enjoys chewing on his teethers-- when they are not cold
Babbles
  • He is babbling so much more these days.
  • He has said something that resembles "dada" a few times but doesn't use it in context yet.
  • I'm still drilling him on "Mama" frequently
Eating
  • Eats baby food 2-3 times a day
  • Favorite baby food so far is definitely bananas
  • Enjoys fruit much more than veggies (we mix them in)
  • Eats 5-6 ounce bottles of formula every 2-3 hours
  • will only take a HOT bottle
  • becoming more interested in what we are eating and drinking
Naps
  • still takes around 3 a day
  • He is a great napper when he wants to be. He normally takes anywhere from a 1-2 hour nap.
Sleeping
  • Goes to bed between 7:30-8:30
  • Normally wakes up for good between 6-7
  • Sometimes wakes up for a bottle in the middle of the night
  • wakes up SUPER HAPPY
  • Sneezes multiple times when I turn his lamp on (I always crack up)

Happenings:
  • Lots of time outside enjoying the abnormal beautiful weather
  • My friend Meg & her sweet daughter came over for a play date. She got to see what my crazy life with 2 looks like.
  • Our precious family friends (Luke, Laura, and Baylor) came down for a weekend to visit before they have a new baby. Rhett enjoyed  all the attention that Baylor gave him so much.
  • Quality time with cousins- Aunt KK and her kiddos came down for the weekend. The kids enjoyed playing outside. Rhett was pampered by Tate. Tate pushed him in the stroller all morning.
  • First Ice/Snow- Rhett got to see his first ice. It was too cold for him to really enjoy it. Next year will be a different story, I'm sure.
  • Mountain Home Day Trip- Our close friends had their first son this month. We made a quick trip to visit and get some sweet baby loving.
